Italy's ENI SpA (ENI.MI) said Tuesday that its subsidiary Agip
Caspian Sea BV has signed an upstream oil-and-gas collaboration
deal in Kazakhstan, and another agreement covering cultural
initiatives in the country.
Eni didn't disclose the financial details of either deal.
The first memorandum of understanding was signed with
Kazakhstan's state-owned oil-and-gas company, KazMunayGas JSC, and
aims to expand technological cooperation in upstream oil-and-gas
exploration and production, the Italian company said.
The second MoU was signed with the Italian embassy in Kazakhstan
and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, and seeks to
promote Italy's language and culture in the country, Eni said.
