FedEx Corp. (FDX) shares were higher in afternoon trading, recently up 3% to $163.60 after Amazon.com Inc.(AMZN) lifted its ban on FedEx Ground for third-party prime shipments.

Amazon on Tuesday notified third-party merchants they could once again use FedEx's Ground network to ship orders placed under Amazon's Prime membership program, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Amazon in December blocked its third-party sellers from using FedEx's Ground delivery for Prime shipments, citing a decline in performance, WSJ reported at the time.
