Total's Subsidiary Starts Solar-Power Plant in New Caledonia

Total SA (FP.FR) said Wednesday that its subsidiary Total
Quadran has begun operating a solar-power plant with energy storage
in New Caledonia.
The plant, which is equipped with more than 58,000 solar panels,
has an installed capacity of roughly 16 megawatts peak and will
feature a lithium-ion energy storage system with a capacity of
nearly 10 megawatts, Total said.
Helio Boulouparis 2 is the second plant at an extensive solar
park in the region, according to the French energy giant. The first
was put into action in 2017.
