Total Wins Offshore Block in Brazil With Qatar Petroleum, Petronas

Total SA (FP.FR) said Thursday that it has won an offshore block
with its partners Qatar Petroleum and Petroliam Nasional Bhd.
Both the French oil-and-gas company and Qatar Petroleum have a
40% interest in the C-M-541 deep offshore block located in Brazil,
while Petronas holds the remaining 20%, Total said.
The consortium plans to drill a first exploration well in 2021,
Total said.
