--General Electric Co. (GE) said it will shutter a large power plant in California, as the site "is uneconomical to support further," Reuters reports Friday.

--The Inland Empire Energy Center is a 750 MW plant utilizing two H-Class turbines made by GE, the report said.

--GE will sell the site to a company making battery storage, the report said.
