--A joint venture between Chevron Corp. (CVX) and Phillips 66 (PSX) made an offer to acquire Canadian plastics maker Nova Chemicals, Reuters reported Thursday, citing "people familiar with the matter."

--Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP offered more than $15 billion including debt, the report said.

--Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Investment Co. owns Nova, and has been exploring a sale of the company, the report said.

--None of the companies immediately responded to requests for comment, the report said.
