--Paris's Commercial Court has appointed its former president Frank Gentin to resolve EssilorLuxottica's governance crisis, AFP reports, citing an anonymous source.

--The Franco-Italian company--formed by a 2018 merger--is currently paralyzed by a conflict between Chairman Leonardo Del Vecchio and the Vice-Chairman Hubert Sagnieres, AFP says.

--Essilor, the French side of the company, referred the matter to the court earlier this week and requested it send someone capable of breaking the deadlock, according to AFP.
