Appointment of Independent Non--Executive Directors

Secure Trust Bank PLC ("STB" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Baroness Neville--Rolfe DBE CMG and Paul Myers as independent Non--Executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Lucy Neville--Rolfe has had a distinguished career in business and in public service. She spent 15 years at Tesco plc including over six years as a main board executive director. She has held senior positions in government and in the public sector. She became a member of the House of Lords in 2013 and was a minister in the Business and Culture Departments and in HM Treasury from 2014-2017. Lucy is currently a Non-Executive Director of Capita plc and was between 2010 and 2014 a Non-Executive Director of ITV plc and has also held other directorships.

Paul Myers has many years of banking experience, gained initially at Barclays Bank and then at Aldermore Bank where he was Chief Operating Officer and group Corporate Development Director. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of GKBK Limited, which is a new banking venture. Paul is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Lord Forsyth, Chairman, said:

These appointments restore the number of STB's Board directors to eight following the resignations of Sir Henry Angest and Mr Andrew Salmon as directors in August 2018. Following the appointments the Board will comprise two Executive Directors, five independent Non-Executive Directors and the Chairman. The Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority have been notified of the appointments of Lucy Neville--Rolfe and Paul Myers.

The Company was assisted in the recruitment process by Korn Ferry who were appointed in June 2018 to support STB in identifying suitable additional independent Non-Executive Directors. Korn Ferry had no previous relationship with the Company and were appointed following a competitive tender.

The Company confirms that there is no other information about Lucy Neville--Rolfe or Paul Myers requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
